lyrics

Hit by an Impala
Racing down Fifth Avenue
Was my neighbour Scarlet
While walking her Tzitsu
She was on her way to buy a monkey wrench

We live up in Harlem
And ever since last April
Scarlet has been arguing
With our landlord Nathan
She thought that he tried to charge her too much rent

Keen as mustard,
Scarlet was rash
She would have been busted
For not covering her tracks
And everyone knew the beef between these two and it
wouldn't be a slow react

That morning in the street I'd
Seen my neighbour Scarlet
She told me a secret
Said I had to guard it
Then she asked me for the nearest Home Depot

Scarlet planned to wait till
Nathan was at church then
Gather up his suits and
Roll them in the dirt then
Try and put them back before he returned
She was a little crazy this I learned

Fate rolled the dice or to be more precise
A two door Impala then took Scarlet's life
And ended the feud and no suits were filed
Or defiled, I guess...
